Rising From Ruins: Historic Foundry in Cleveland Flats Finds New Life

Cleveland, OH – May 10, 2017 – When one historic complex was about to slide into oblivion, Mike Trebilcock, chairman and CEO of MCPC, stepped in to rectify the situation, building a new, nonprofit rowing facility that would be accessible for Cleveland youth of all income levels. This venture, in partnership with MCPC Family Charities, would also be a world-class rowing facility that would attract and breed national talent.

The Foundry is one of several new ventures that have taken root on Columbus Road in recent years. This indoor, state-of-the-art, 65,000-square-foot structure houses a rowing facility, boathouse, workout facility, parent areas, office space and spaces intended for event rental.
