MCPC Expands into Madison Square Neighborhood with Brand New West Michigan Technology Center
Grand Rapids, Michigan, May 12, 2023 – MCPC, the Cleveland, Ohio based global endpoint management company, has officially expanded in the Madison Square neighborhood of Grand Rapids with its state-of-the-art West Michigan Technology Center.
“We’re excited to be in our new Madison Square facility,” says Andy Shannon, President, MCPC West Michigan, “Because it consolidates all our locations into one. Now, our technology logistics warehouse, endpoint configuration lab, and IT asset disposition center are all under one roof which makes for a better experience for our clients.”
The West Michigan Technology Center sits on a site occupied by a former hardware manufacturer that sat vacant for nearly 20 years. The location was chosen because MCPC wanted to be part of a neighborhood to which it could bring energy, vitality, and job creation. In addition, a location on a public transportation route was important to recruit entry-level workers beginning their tech career and the Madison Square area was a perfect match.
After a $14 million demolition and construction project, the 60,000 square foot building at 1601 Madison Ave. SE now houses the West Michigan technology logistics operations of MCPC.
“The West Michigan Technology Center will be key to our growth and that of our clients in the area because it streamlines the endpoint device lifecycle services we provide.” says Shannon, “From the time a newly-purchased device arrives at our warehouse, to the time it’s completely customized and configured for its user, to its eventual retirement from active duty, we can fulfill our clients’ needs more efficiently so their employees can be productive and secure – faster.”
MCPC helps West Michigan organizations engineer outcomes that keep their employees productive and cyber secure. The new Madison Square facility features an in-house configuration lab that customizes each device, a secure warehouse that holds client-owned equipment and assets, and IT asset disposition center that cleans and destroys data on end-of-life and unused devices and helps with redeployment, remarketing, or securely and sustainably e-recycling them.
