Cleveland, OH –
Finding qualified resources to develop, implement, and maintain a cyber security program is not an easy task in today’s job market.
But MCPc will soon be able to boast six full time associates with the CISSP credential after their names.
Given the degree of difficulty in achieving that ranking, and the few individuals worldwide who hold the credential, the number puts MCPc in rarefied space.
“I work with over 2000 plus customers many of whom express this as their primary challenge relative to security,” say MCPc CISO Bob Eckman, himself CISSP certified.
Eckman says customers can utilize the Security as a Service program he runs for MCPc as one way of ensuring they are taking the necessary steps to protect their fleet of devices and data.
“I advise our customers that in addition to engaging with MCPc, they should consider the many talented people they have working within their organizations today as candidates,” say Eckman. Under Eckman’s leadership, MCPc brought CISSP training to Ohio in May. The weeklong program attracted nearly 30 candidates from several area companies, and by all accounts the program was rigorous.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an independent information security certification granted by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, also known as (ISC)². As of last November, there were only 110,980 (ISC)² members holding the CISSP certification worldwide - in 162 countries.
Eckman estimates the shortage in the US is upwards of 200,000 – that’s the number of jobs readily available to individuals holding the certification. “For MCPc to have six with certification is a big accomplishment,” Eckman said, and is an even bigger indication of the breadth and depth of the Cleveland-based business technology solution provider.
