CLEVELAND – MCPc has been named a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly BusinessSM by the League of American Bicyclists in recognition of its efforts to enable its workforce to bicycle.

Today, the League of American Bicyclists recognized MCPc with a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Business (BFBSM) award, joining more than 800 visionary businesses from across the country.

With the announcement of 150 new and renewing BFBs today in 39 states and Washington, D.C., MCPc joins a cutting-edge group of more than 800 local businesses, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies across the United States that are transforming the American workplace.

“Visionary business leaders are recognizing the real-time and long term impact that a culture of bicycling can create,” said Andy Clarke, president of the League of American Bicyclists. “We applaud this new round of businesses for investing in a more sustainable future for the country and a healthier future for their employees.”

MCPc has worked to empower its employees to embrace a healthier culture through cycling, including integrating cycling into its wellness program and in charitable and philanthropic activities. MCPc encourages bicycling as an easy option for transportation and provides amenities such as on-site locker rooms, bicycle racks, and incentives involving health and wellness.

Andy Jones, president of MCPc, leads his company as a champion of the bicycle friendly workplace. “The City of Cleveland, home to our headquarters, is beginning to show significant improvement to empowering cyclists, and we encourage our employees to use their bicycles to commute. Additionally, our employees nationwide participate in meaningful charity rides throughout the year, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for several nonprofits,” Jones said.

Moving forward, MCPc will have access to a variety of free tools and technical assistance from the League to become even more bicycle-friendly.
