The Forquer Group is now MCPc - Erie
Last weekend, MCPc was proud to sponsor an event that was held locally in Cleveland, Ohio, called VeloSano
. This was the flagship charity bike ride led by the Cleveland Clinic, and managed to raise more than $1.6 million dollars for cancer research. In its inaugural year, MCPc was proud to be a major sponsor.
It must have been kismet, however, in that the riding path of VeloSano extended from downtown Cleveland the nearly 100 miles to Presque Isle State Park, a beautiful slip of land just outside of Erie, Pennsylvania. Our very own Andy Jones completed the whole ride, and sat on the Steering Committee with several other Northeast Ohio corporate luminaries.
So, while we’re incredibly proud of this philanthropic effort, why is it extra special? It represents a tangible link in the newly minted relationship between MCPc and Erie, Pennsylvania. A little over a month ago, we announced an exciting new partnership by way of acquisition with the Forquer Group. The Forquer Group is a private, strategic technology consulting firm based in Erie. Russell Forquer, the company’s founder, met with me during our 2014 Game Changers event, and it seemed like harmony. This match of abilities, engineering talent, and expansion of a customer base into a rich service-business oriented environment was a “win” for both companies
That acquisition comes on the heels of a busy first half. MCPc was named to the 2014 CRN Solution Provider 500 list, ranking 77th – our highest ranking ever. That was announced immediately after being named to the CRN Tech Elite 250, and the CRN Managed Service Provider Elite 150 lists. MCPc was also selected as an OARnet Partner, one of only 7 nationally. We opened new office locations in Columbus, Ohio, and Buffalo, New York – the office in Buffalo directly across from one of our major distribution partners, Ingram Micro. We hosted an HP / Gartner thought leadership panel in Cleveland, and received (yet again) the 17th consecutive Cisco Channel Customer Satisfaction Excellence rating, the 23rd time of the last 25 cycles – an unprecedented (and unequaled) record amongst solution providers. We even won an award for our corporate events.
Needless to say, it’s been a busy few months.
As we welcome our new teammates in the Erie office, it is my hope and the hope of our management team that the emphasis we have been building over the past 18 months carries through to the second half of 2014 and beyond. The outstanding work we have seen in the continued evolution of the Reference Architectures, the alignment of our Business Units, and the pliability of our management team with ongoing organizational change is nothing short of remarkable.
I realize that many of our goals – whether they are goals for revenue, customer satisfaction, or recognition, may seem daunting. Rather than daunting, however, our goals really aspire to greatness. Luckily, so do all of our associates.
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

This healthcare institution needed a technology partner to install 1,600 Topaz electronic signature pads to various endpoints within its large campus, including emergency room environments. MCPc procured the devices, and planned and executed the deployment to WOWs, laptops and other staff devices. The MCPc team worked in around-the-clock shifts and during slow hours as much as possible to have the devices fully functional and integrated into the Citrix environment and EMR system by the target date.
