Darin Haines Talks Cyber Maturity at Gartner Security Summit

The week of June 17th, MCPc was a Silver Sponsor and a presenter at the Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit held at the Gaylord in National Harbor, MD.

With almost 3,700 attendees and 84 Gartner Analysts, the conference theme of “making security and risk matter to the organization” conveyed a massive amount of insights and was a comprehensive update on cybersecurity threats and solutions.

Darin Haines, MCPc’s SVP Global Consulting, presented a well-attended (SRO) talk on cyber maturity and proper cyber hygiene. The talk “Are you thinking about cybersecurity the wrong way?” centered around the fact that most companies emphasize protecting the data center yet the greatest danger to data security is actually the endpoint. The most vulnerable cyber-attack surfaces in your organization are all the smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and IoT devices you use to do business every day. These endpoints are the tasty entry points cyber scavengers are lying in wait for.
