Network Infrastructure
To provide additional storage and save costs, we proposed the customer switch its network-infrastructure provider. In doing so, there was also a need for a disaster recovery plan which we implemented by providing an HP storage area network (SAN), networking equipment and VMware. VoIP Telephony Solution
We updated this customer’s network to prepare for a new building. The project included procurement, network and datacenter design, and installation of new equipment — such as a ShoreTel VoIP phone system, EMC storage and Cisco switches. Network Solution
As a result of a recent partnership, this customer was in the process of creating a new distribution building. For this new facility, we purchased needed technologies and implemented a network solution consisting of virtualization, wireless, switching and storage. The deployment resulted in the ability to virtualize their storage which allowed for less rack space, less power used and faster processes. Learn more about our network solutions.
Four Year Educational Institution in Oregon
Visual Communication Solution
Upon remodeling its engineering building, the university was seeking audio-visual equipment services. MCPc procured and installed the needed AV equipment which included products from Polycom, AMX, Extron and Samsung. The audiovisual installation allowed for cutting edge technology to be used in the classrooms assuring that students received an impactful learning experience. Server Virtualization
To move this customer to a virtualized environment, we provided ISCSI storage, Cisco switches and additional VMware licenses. As the largest city in Oregon, Portland offers numerous entertainment and lifestyle options — from sports to shopping to music and art.
As the “City of Roses,” it is home to the International Rose Test Garden which features more than 7,000 rose plants of 550 varieties. Other attractions include the Oregon Zoo, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), Portland Art Museum and Rose Quarter — the NBA’s Trail Blazers’ arena — as well as an abundance of local eateries and shopping venues.
In 2008, the city was named the second most environmentally friendly city in the world by
Grist magazine as a result of its urban planning and 92,000 acres of green space. It also hosts 74 miles of hiking, running and biking trails. Portland has also been recognized by the League of American Bicyclists as one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States.
