CLEVELAND - MCPc, Inc., a Cleveland-based technology products and solutions provider, hosted a Night Out to benefit the United Way on Thursday, October 20th. The event was held at Bilo’s Bar in Strongsville, Ohio and featured a Basket Raffle, 50/50 drawing and Silent Auction. $6,440 was raised for United Way charities that evening. 124 MCPc associates, friends and their guests were in attendance.
This was the first year MCPc hosted a Night Out benefit in this format to benefit the United Way. Typically, they hold four smaller events during the month of October to raise money for the charity. The outpouring of support from MCPc associates and vendors was tremendous and more than quadrupled the proceeds raised last year.
“Simply put, it was a team effort,” remarked Nannette Smelko, member of MCPc’s Human Resource Department, and organizer of the event. “Each MCPc department was asked to sponsor a basket. We were overwhelmed at the generosity of our associates and how excited they were to show their support of this event,” said Smelko. “Everyone had a vested interest in who won their basket, and the friendly competition among our staff, even between the President and CEO, for the silent auction baskets, will be talked about for years to come,” Smelko continued.
“MCPc is proud to support the United Way which has such a global footprint and focus on serving communities everywhere. The work of their network of charity partners towards supporting the social good is something we are proud to support,” said Beth Stec, Director of Human Resources at MCPc.
