In a recent Cleveland Plain Dealer article, MCPc Chief Technology Officer Darin Haines
discussed the growing trend of businesses utilizing videoconferencing to conduct meetings across distances with co-workers, partners, potential customers and more.
"For me video is part of the fabric of my everyday life," Haines said. "The whole concept behind Telepresence is it's taking video to the next level with the crispness of the video. If someone were to drop a pencil on the other end you would hear that pencil drop. So it's really extending that face-to-face experience over video."
Employees at MCPc's downtown Cleveland headquarters demonstrated videoconferencing through Cisco TelePresence for the article. MCPc's is the largest Cisco TelePresence deployment in Northeast Ohio. It connects the corporate headquarters with 11 regional offices throughout the country for internal meetings and collaboration on customer projects.
